How To Install A New Kitchen Sink Faucet

Replacing a kitchen sink faucet is a relatively simple plumbing project that can be completed in a few hours. By following these step-by-step instructions, you can easily replace your old faucet with a new one.

Step 1: Gather Your Tools and Materials

Before you begin, gather the following tools and materials:

New kitchen sink faucet
Adjustable wrench
Phillips head screwdriver
Flat head screwdriver
Plumber's putty
Teflon tape
Bucket
Rags

Step 2: Turn Off the Water Supply

Before you begin working on the faucet, turn off the water supply to your kitchen sink. There will be two shut-off valves located under the sink, one for the hot water and one for the cold water. Turn both valves clockwise to close them.

Step 3: Disconnect the Old Faucet

Using the adjustable wrench, loosen the nuts that connect the water supply lines to the old faucet. Then, use the flat head screwdriver to loosen the screws that hold the faucet in place. Once the screws are loose, you can lift the old faucet out of the sink.

Step 4: Clean the Sink
