Replacing a soap dispenser for a kitchen sink is a relatively simple task that can be completed in a few minutes with the right tools and materials. 6. Install the new soap dispenser. Insert the new dispenser into the hole in the sink or countertop. Press down on the dispenser to secure it in place. If the dispenser is mounted to the sink, tighten the mounting nut using the adjustable wrench.

7. Reconnect the water lines to the soap dispenser. Push the water lines onto the dispenser and tighten the nuts using the adjustable wrench.

8. Turn on the water supply to the sink and check for leaks. Open the shut-off valve under the sink to turn the water supply back on. Check the connections around the soap dispenser for any leaks. If you find any leaks, tighten the nuts or apply additional plumber's putty as needed.

9. Apply silicone caulk around the base of the soap dispenser (optional). This is an optional step, but it will help to seal the dispenser and prevent water from getting underneath it. Apply a thin bead of silicone caulk around the base of the dispenser and smooth it out with your finger.
